Why Allergy Test?

Allergies are much more than a minor inconvenience. Studies have shown that untreated allergies can contribute to a plethora of chronic illnesses including asthma, sinus infections, upper respiratory infections, ear infections and general susceptibility to illness.

Itching, hives, sneezing, runny nose, wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, cough, swollen lips etc. are signs of allergy.

If you have any of these symptoms, take an allergy test immediately and know the cause.

Allergy Tests with Proact

The best way to treat allergy, is by first knowing the cause.

Skin Allergy: Skin allergy could be due to certain food, inhalants or some contact items. It can be found out only through proper diagnosis. With a blood test we can identify it. Once identified, you can get rid of most of allergies without any medication.

Following are the types of Allergens we test:

Veggie Poke

Veg Food Allergens

Many people who come across allergy problems rarely realise that some of the common food items such as milk, tomatoes, groundnut, curd or cabbage can cause allergy. We cannot know who is affected by what unless we take a test. Allergy test with blood samples are the ideal test as with a single sample we can conduct tests over a large range of items. Even a tiny amount of the allergy-causing food can trigger signs and symptoms such as digestive problems, hives or swollen airways. Food allergies are typically IgE-mediated, which means that the body produces large amounts of antibodies that specifically target the proteins of certain food products.
Some of the items included in our panel is as follows;

Vegetable Stand
Meat Pie

Non-Veg Food Allergens

Contrary to popular belief, we find less people are affected by non-veg food items. However, it is important to include the non-veg panel during the test to make sure that nothing is left to chance. A large number of people who believed that they have chicken or mutton allergy were turned out to be allergic to tomatoes and spices.

Chicken Poppers
Pet The Bunny

Inhalant Allergens

When cleaning rooms or dusty environments, people feel uncomfortable as they tend to sneeze or get runny nose quickly. This is because almost all human beings are allergic to dust and pollutants like smoke. Pollens and pet dander cause allergy to a number of people. We have therefore incorporated a large panel of inhalants.

Contact Allergens

Contact Allergens can cause a red, itchy rash by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it. The rash isn't contagious or life-threatening, but it can be very uncomfortable. Many substances can cause such reactions, including soaps, cosmetics, fragrances, jewellery, paints, leather, perfume etc. Your body has an allergic reaction to a substance (allergen) that it doesn’t like. Some times it can take several days after exposure for an itchy, red rash to develop.

What Our Happy Clients Say

My 8 years old son Firoz have been getting allergic attacks since he was six months old. We consulted many doctors and were afraid to give too much medicines as we know medicines have its side effects too. Recently I took him to Proact Lab and took Allergy Tests. When we got the report I was shocked to know that Firoz has allergy from bananas and milk. Most of the time we were feeding him these only. I felt so bad. I immediately stopped giving him milk and bananas and his allergies have vanished. I am glad that the problem is solved.

For years I have been suffering from allergy and have been under various medications. When I stop the medicine the itching and rashes will come back. I am a non-vegetarian and many people said I should stop eating meat. I tried that too, but with no success. I took allergy test at Proact Lab and when I got the report I was surprised to see that I am allergic to tomatoes and dal only. I immediately stopped these from my diet and in 2-3 days my allergy problems disappeared.
I am grateful that I could get such an irritating problem solved so easily.

I have been having terrible problems on my skin for the last 6 years. Suddenly rashes will appear and itching will start. I met several doctors and used several medicines with no success. Recently I came to know about Proact Lab. I gave it a try and it turned out to be an unexpected solution for my itching and rashes. When I got the report I was surprised to know that I have milk allergy. I never thought that milk can cause allergy. Immediately I stopped taking milk and my problems solved. I never had allergic attacks afterwards. Now I am taking my son for the test so that we will know what things he should avoid eating.
